Fred NASH
Everyone was shocked this morning when
the announcement was made that Mr. Fred Nash was dead. Only yesterday
he was out upon the street, and it seemed incredible that he should have
passed away. For some time, Mr. Nash has suffered a heart difficulty
and this morning about half past two his wife awakened to find him suffering.
She arose to get him some brandy, but when she came back to be she found
his features already stiffening in death. She ran hastily, just as
she was, in her night clothes and slippers, to Mr. Springstead’s for help.
On her way back she fell, breaking her leg just below the hip, but managed
to crawl to the doorstep where she waited until assistance came.
Mr. Nash had been dead ten minutes.
