Charlotte June Manning, 67, of La Crosse, WI died late Saturday night on
October 12, 2002 from a head-on-collision with a drunk driver.
Born June 1, 1935 in Richland County to Erma Kidd Haslow, who survives her. Charlotte married Timothy Lee Manning on September 6, 1952 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Richland Center. Charlotte and Tim had six children. They farmed near Bosstown for many years and lived near La Crosse for the past twenty years. Charlotte spent most of her time crafting. Tim and Charlotte have been square dancing since 1967. They recently celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary. Survivors include her husband, Tim Manning of La Crosse; her six children, Lori of Monticello, Dale (Kellie) of Waupun, Ronald (Colleen) of Sextonville, Avery (Celeste) of Richland Center, Michele (Allen) O’Brien of Eastman, and Pamela of Fennimore; twenty-one grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; many other relatives and numerous friends. Preceded in death by one great-grandchild. Visitation will be held at the Woodruff Funeral Home, 4239 Mormon Coulee Road, La Crosse on Thursday night, October 17th from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. An additional visitation will be held Friday morning, October 18th from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at the Pratt Funeral Home, 120 North Park Street, Richland Center, with services starting at 1:00 p.m. Burial at Rockbridge Cemetery with a reception following at the Free Methodist Church, 405 South Park Street, Richland Center. Charlotte’s sense of humor, smile, and love will be missed by all. |
