Martin Van Buren BANKER was in Co. B, 6th Regiment Wisconsin Infantry - Civil War.  He enrolled in service on September 26, 1864 and was honorably discharged June 6, 1865 in Arlington, Virginia. - Lori lori@monticellowi.com

Born Muscoda, WI, 02-04-1922
World War II, First Lieutenant
P-51 (Mustang) pilot, stationed in England, and received Distinguished Flying Cross.
Shot down over France August 8, 1944, killed in action.
Brought home to rest in 1949 in Richland Center Cemetery

Abraham WOLF orig. enlisted in Co. G, 11th Wisc. Infantry at Sun Prairie, Wisc.  He served from Oct. 26, 1861 to March 15,1863 when he was discharged with a disability.  He then reenlisted on Aug 24,1864 at Buena Vista (Lone Rock) in Richland Co.  He was wounded April 2,1865 at the Battle of Petersburg, VA, had his left leg amputated and was mustered out Sept. 6, 1865. He returned to Lone Rock where he was Postmaster for 17 years.

Robert Frederick OSBORNE, born 13 MAR 1926 to Clifford M. and Dorothy L. (Fry) Osborne at Eagle Township, WI.  Enlisted in the US Navy 05 JAN 1944. Underwent basic training at Great Lakes Naval Training Center. Assigned to and served on the battleship USS Mississippi, BB-41,  in the Pacific Theater of Operations from NOV 1944 serving until the end of WWII when he was discharged as a Fireman 1st Class. After discharge from the Navy, he enlisted in the US Army in the late 1940s, serving until retirement as a Sergeant First Class 31 OCT 1965. His Army assignments included Germany, Korea, and several locations in the United States.  His military awards included: Army Commendation Medal,  Army Good Conduct Medal,  National Defense Service Medal, World War II Victory Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal, Army of Occupation Medal, Philippine Liberation Ribbon, American Campaign Medal, and Navy Unit Commendation. After retiring from the Army he resided in Galesburg, IL where he died 03 SEP 1994 of lung cancer.  He and his wife Wanda J. (Harwood) Osborne are buried at Galesburg. faoefmb@netzero.net
Helon Mansfield HARWOOD, born 11 MAR 1847 in Wisconsin.  Served as a Private, Company G, 47th Infantry Regiment, Wisconsin Volunteers in the Civil War.  He married Nancy Lavina Lewis on 08 OCT 1872.  He died in Richland Center, WI 19 NOV 1925 and is buried in the Richland Center Cemetary. faoefmb@netzero.net
